Hoosier State Relays

Batesville High School left right after school on Friday and headed up to the University of Indianapolis for their 2nd Hoosier State Relays (HSR) Qualifier. Again, to qualify for the HSR, an individual athlete's or relay team's time, height or distance needs to be ranked in the top 24 of the state. There were many great performances including 19 personal records broken on this meet, ranking and keeping several Batesville athletes in that state qualifying position.  As it stands today, here are the Bulldogs that are ranked in the top 24 of the state from their performance on Friday.

• Maycee Holtkamp-high jump-5'0"-15th
• Girls 4 x 800m relay of Bayleigh Demaree, Paige Allgeier, Caitlin Raver and Ava Wade-10:17.20-6th
• Boys 4 x 800m relay of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, Levi Essick and Griffin Koester-8:27.55-6th
• Girls Distance Medley Relay of Caitlin Raver, Bayleigh Demaree, Paige Allgeier and Ava Wade-13:26.43-12th

Those still ranked in the tip 24 include:

• Ella King-shot put-38'2.75"-8th
• Girls 4 x 200m relay of Maggie Jelinek, Avi Miller, Maycee Holtkamp and Abby Miller-153.03-23rd
• Girls 4 x 400m relay of Maycee Holtkamp, Francesca Myers, Bayleigh Demaree and Abby Miller-4:24.81-17th
• Boys 4 x 400m relay of James Rowland, Cannon Clark, Cash Myers and Griffin Koester-3:33.61-5th

Other notable performances:

• Reillee Adams-pole vault (8'0") placed 9th,
• Zadiin Small-long jump (18'11.25") placed 9th,
• Gavin Britch-60m hurdles (9.06) placed 8th,
