Rising Sun 8, Carroll County (Ky.) 4 – Rising Sun’s Landon Cole launched a three-run home run in the sixth inning. Payton Bell had a double, a single, and 2 RBI. Brayden Bush was the winning pitcher for the Shiners with 11 strikeouts, 3 hits, 3 walks, and 2 earned runs in 5.0 innings.

 

SOFTBALL

Lawrenceburg 10, Jac-Cen-Del 2

Greensburg 3, South Dearborn 2

Centerville 10, Franklin County 7

Milan 19, Shawe Memorial 3 – Taryn Cline starred for Milan with 2 home runs, 6 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Megan Brown added 2 hits, 4 RBI, and 2 runs. Erin Widener was the winning pitcher, tossing 3.0 innings with 5 Ks, a hit, and a walk.

 

TRACK & FIELD

Switzerland County girls won a four-team meet the Pacers hosted Wednesday, while the Southwestern (Hanover) boys took the other first place honor. Boys team scores were Southwestern 92 points, Switzerland County 46, Rising Sun 44, and Milan 43. Girls scoring was Switzerland County 79.5 points, Southwestern 58, Milan 50.5, and Rising Sun 34.
