FRIDAY, APRIL 20

BASEBALL

South Ripley 6, South Dearborn 1 – South Ripley’s Chad Turner had a hit, 2 RBI, and a run scored. Luke Welch was the winning pitcher, shutting down SD over 7.0 innings with 8 strikeouts, 4 walks, 6 hits, and just one earned run allowed.

Hagerstown 11, Franklin County 1

 

BOYS GOLF

Milan defeated Jac-Cen-Del on Friday with a score of 171. Milan’s Chris Hawk and Joe Hawk shared the medalist honors with a 41-shot round each.

 

SOFTBALL

East Central 17, North Daviess 3

Rising Sun 18, Lawrenceburg 1 – Rising Sun’s Kassidy Romans went 3-for-4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs. Lindsay Montgomery was 2-for-3 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. Lucy Phelps went 3-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBI. Shiners starter Sydney Pitts went 5.0 innings with 5Ks, a walk, and 3 hits allowed.

South Dearborn 2, Batesville 0

Milan 15, Jac-Cen-Del 2 – Milan’s Taylor Amberger and Maggie Schmidt each posted a hit and 2 RBI. Riley Cline had 3 stolen bases. Pitcher Lexi Wert got the win, going 6.0 innings with 9 strikeouts, 2 walks, and 3 hits allowed.

 

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 21

BASEBALL

Lawrenceburg 11, Hauser 5 – Lawrenceburg had 12 hits to run away with the win. Austin Weimer had 3 RBI and a run scored. Ethan Weimer had a double, 2 RBI and a run scored.

Lawrenceburg 7, Hauser 5 – Eli Helton went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI and a run scored. Blake Buddenburg was 1-for-4 with a double, 2 RBI and a run. LHS pitchers Austin Weimer and Gunner Howard totaled 10 Ks.

Rising Sun 16, South Decatur 0 – Lucy Phelps launched a home run as part of a 2-hit, 5 RBI day for Rising Sun. Lindsay Montgomery also homered in going 3-for-4 with 4 RBI. Kassidy Romans had a double and two triples with 2 RBI and a run scored.
