The South Ripley senior hit the milestone in a win over South Decatur.

(Versailles, Ind.) - It was a joyous night for South Ripley girls basketball on Tuesday.
Not only did the JV and Varsity teams come away with wins on the road against South Decatur, but two milestones were reached and celebrated.
Senior Kaiya Rinear reached 1,000 career points and 100 career steals in a 60-34 win over South Decatur. Rinear led the way with a game-high 21 points.
Claire Samples added 14 points for the Lady Raiders. Aubrey Werner chipped in with seven points, and Sophie Lauber had six.
Rinear, who has split her high school career between Milan and South Ripley, joins Ashlee Lauber, Elexah Roepke, and Julie Lipperd on the list of 1,000-point scorers in South Ripley history.
South Ripley is 3-1 on the season. They will travel to Lawrenceburg on Friday and will host Batesville on Saturday.
