IHSAA Executive Committee Unanimously Approves New Sectional Assignments

The new sectional alignments are for basketball, soccer, football, and volleyball.

INDIANAPOLIS - Today, the IHSAA Executive Committee approved the sectional assignments in six team sports for the next two school years.

The Executive Committee unanimously accepted the recommendations of the respective realignment committees which determined the sectional groups for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years.

Sectional groupings for boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, football, and volleyball can be seen below. Host sites for the next two years will be determined by athletic administrators in each sectional this summer.

The baseball and softball sectional realignment committee will meet later this summer to offer their recommendations.

 

Football

Class 5A Sectional 14 (4): Columbus East, East Central, Franklin Community, Seymour

Class 3A Sectional 30 (7): Batesville, Franklin County, Greensburg, Lawrenceburg, Purdue Polytechnic, Rushville, South Dearborn

Class 2A Sectional 40 (8): Brownstown Central, Clarksville, Crawford County, Eastern (Pekin), Paoli, Salem, Switzerland County, Tell City

Class 1A Sectional 47 (8): Eastern Greene, Edinburgh, Greenwood Christian Academy, Knightstown, Milan, North Decatur, South Decatur, West Washington

 

Boys Basketball

Class 4A Sectional 14 (5): Columbus East, Columbus North, East Central, Franklin Community, Whiteland Community

Class 3A Sectional 29 (6): Batesville, Franklin County, Greensburg, Jennings County, Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn

Class 2A Sectional 45 (5): Austin, Brown County, South Ripley, Southwestern (Hanover), Switzerland County

Class 1A Sectional 60 (8): Crothersville, Hauser, Jac-Cen-Del, Milan, Oldenburg Academy, Rising Sun, Shawe Memorial, Trinity Lutheran
