Harrison AD: Battle Of I-74 Football Game Will Not Happen This Year

Harrison's revised 2020 football schedule includes six games against Ohio teams only.

(Harrison, Oh.) - The annual Battle of I-74 football game will not take place in 2020. 

Harrison athletic director Mark Meibers announced Wednesday that the Wildcats will not be able to take on East Central on September 4 due to new OHSAA scheduling requirements. 

The OHSAA's proposal calls for all Ohio teams to play a shortened six-game schedule, which will result in most teams going to a conference only schedules or mostly conference only schedules as you'll see below. 

Harrison’s revised schedule:

Friday, August 28 – at Chaminade Julienne – 7:00 p.m.

Friday, September 4 – vs. Talawanda – 7:00 p.m.

Friday, September 11 – vs. Kings – 7:00 p.m.

Friday, September 18 – vs. Ross – 7:00 p.m.

Friday, September 25 – at Northwest – 7:00 p.m.

Friday, October 2 – at Edgewood – 7:00 p.m.

Friday, October 9 - Playoffs

As for East Central, they will play at Indianapolis Chatard on August 28 and at home against Moeller (Oh.) on September 4.
