(Brookville, Ind.) – The Franklin County Athletic Hall of Fame welcomed two new members over the weekend.

On Friday, Wes Gillman and Jeremiah Vaughan were inducted into the Franklin County Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

The induction ceremony took place in conjunction with the Senior Athletic Banquet.

Gillman once quarterbacked Franklin County’s football team to the state championship game in 1995. Although knee problems stopped Gillman from playing at the collegiate level, he has forged a nice career as a high school football coach.

This past February, Gillman was officially hired as the new varsity football coach at Franklin County.

Jeremiah Vaughn starred on the Franklin County Track & Field team. During his time at Franklin County, he was a state meet qualifier, 2008 EIAC Track & Field Most Valuable Athlete, and the holder of numerous school records.

Vaughn is currently on four, Top 10 lists at Indiana State University, including a six-year stint as the school’s record holder in the mile with a time of 4:04.
