Eli Aston Once Again Enters Record Book at The Mount

Aston had a big game on Saturday to add to his impressive sophomore totals.

CINCINNATI - Eli Aston continues to do big things at Mount St. Joseph University.

The sophomore wide receiver turned in a career day on Saturday, hauling in eight receptions for 233 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-20 win over Manchester University.

Aston's third touchdown of the day gave him 18 for the season, a new single-season record for the Mount.

The former East Central star was the Heartland Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman when he had 67 receptions for 1,358 yards and 13 touchdowns.

He may be in for another Player of the Year award as he has 66 receptions for 1,138 yards and 18 touchdowns through nine games.

Aston has a chance to break his own school record for receiving yards in a season with one regular season game left to go.
