EC Defeats Greensburg Creating Three-Way Tie for EIAC Title

(St. Leon, Ind.) - It was a great defensive performance by the East Central Trojans on Friday night.

Playing at home on Senior Night, East Central defeated Greensburg 45-29, creating a three-way tie for the EIAC Conference Championship.

The Trojans share the conference title with Greensburg and Lawrenceburg as each team finished the conference slate with a 5-2 record.

For East Central it is their first conference championship since 2011. Lawrenceburg last won the EIAC during the 2008-2009 season, while Greensburg was the conference champion last season.

Now, each team readies themselves for sectional play.

Greensburg will play Batesville on Tuesday night in the first round of Sectional 29. Lawrenceburg awaits the winner of South Dearborn and Franklin County next Friday, while East Central will play Whiteland in the Sectional 14 semininals next Friday.
