(St. Leon, Ind.) - Today is National Signing Day for high school football players across the country.

East Central has announced three signings from the Class of 2021:

  • Nathan Griffin, LB  - Western Kentucky University
  • Jake Fike, RB - Marian University
  • Kole Viel, LB - University of Indianapolis

In a Tweet on Wednesday, Trojans head coach Jake Meiners wished the trio good luck at the next level.

"Couldn't be prouder of these young men signing today," said Meiners. "They have worked hard on and off of the field for this moment."

This past season, Viel was named the EIAC Division 4A Defensive MVP. He was joined on the all-conference team by Nathan Griffin. Fike likely would have been an all-conference selection had he not been injured.

The trio has certainly left their mark on the Trojans program. Over the past four years, the Trojans have gone 42-9, winning four conference championships, two sectional championship, and a state championship during the trio's freshman season.
