(St. Leon, Ind.) - Two-time state championship winning quarterback Cole Burton has found a home at the collegiate level.

The East Central High School senior announced his commitment to Ohio Dominican University on Tuesday afternoon.

Burton, a three-year starter, will leave East Central as one of the top quarterbacks in program history. For his career, he threw for 4,862 yards and a school record 62 touchdowns.

As a senior, Burton 1,319 yards and 21 touchdowns, and fell just short of breaking the school record for completion percentage at 67 percent. Head coach Jake Meiners currently holds the record at 69 percent.

Another career milestone for Burton includes being a two-time captain. Only four players in program history have earned the honor of being a multi-year captain.
