Conner Girls Golf Finishes Runner-up at Region 7 Tournament, Qualify for State Tournament

The Region 5-8 Sectional Tournament is scheduled for next week at Kenton Co. Golf Course

(Hebron, Ky.) - The Conner Lady Cougars are going to the State Tournament.  

Conner finished as the runner-up at the Region 7 Tournament on Tuesday, defeating Ryle in a playoff. The Cougars finished four shots behind Notre Dame with a team score of 357. 

Junior Sophia Seals led the way for Conner, finishing 4th overall with a 78. Eighth grader Eva Fey placed 8th with an 85. 

Third place Ryle fell just short of advancing to State. They will have three individuals that have qualified. They are Elizabeth Dickson, Aubrey Hayes, and Lacey Wilson. 

Eighth grader Reese Anthony, the Region 7 Tournament Individual Champion (72) and Ari Burton will represent St. Henry at the Sectional Tournament. Boone County's Jayden Ramler, Cooper's Kendall Williams and Annabelle Woltenberg, Walton-Verona's Addison VonHandorf, and Dixie Heights' Georgia Albrinck also qualified.

The Region 5-8 Sectional Tournament will be played next week at Kenton County Golf Course.
