Brackets Set for IHSAA Wrestling Semi-State

Thirty-five wrestlers from southeast Indiana will look to punch their ticket to the State Finals.

(Southeast Indiana) - The brackets are set for the IHSAA Wrestling Semi-State events. 

Four semi-states will take place this Saturday at East Chicago Central, Fort Wayne South Side, New Castle, and Evansville Reitz (Ford Center). The top four place winners in each weight class will advance to the State Finals in Evansville on January 16-17. 

Locally, 35 wrestlers will represent southeastern Indiana at the New Castle and Evansville semi-state events. Here is the breakdown by schoo:

  • Milan: 6
  • Batesville: 5
  • Switzerland County: 4
  • Lawrenceburg: 2
  • South Dearborn: 2
