Area Volleyball Teams Earn 2023-24 Team Academic Award

The Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association recognized 86 teams.

INDIANAPOLIS - Several area high school volleyball teams have been recognized for their work in the classroom. 

The Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association recently named their Team Academic Award recipients. To earn the honor, a team's average GPA must be at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. 

Locally, Batesville, Jac-Cen-Del, Greensburg, Lawrenceburg, Oldenburg Academy, South Ripley, and Southwestern (Hanover) were among 86 teams to earn the award. 

The average GPA for teams was an amazing 3.84

Every player listed on the school’s sectional roster that competed in a varsity match sometime during the season was listed on the award nomination forrm.
