INDIANAPOLIS – Two area high school basketball stars have been named among the best in the state of Indiana.

The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association announced this week their 2021-22 Girls All-District Teams.

Jac-Cen-Del guard Annabelle Williams and East Central guard Hope Fox were named to the District 3 Team.

The All-District Teams recognized the best senior players in southern Indiana. About half of the players selected will be invited to play at the annual All-Star Classic after HBCA members vote on the Regional All-Star ballots.

Williams has played a pivotal role for Class 1A’s fifth-ranked Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles (16-5). She leads the team in scoring (10.4) and assists (4.9) per game.

Hope Fox has been equally impressive this season, averaging 13.6 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.3 steals per game. She is among the career leaders in deflections and assists in program history.

Fox’s play has helped East Central to an 18-4 record. The Lady Trojans are currently ranked #13 in Class 4A.

Both Williams and Fox are set to continue their playing career at the collegiate level. Williams is committed to Mount St. Joseph University, while Fox will play at Connecticut State University.
