2021 EIAC Boys & Girls Track & Field All-Conference Teams Announced

(St. Leon, Ind.) – The Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference has named its top track and field performers for the 2021 season.

The 2021 EIAC Boys and Girls Track and Field All-Conference teams were released last week.

East Central led the way with 11 overall selections.

On the girls side, the Trojans captured the EIAC Championship behind EIAC MVP Ellie Lengerich, and all-conference selections Hope Fox, Anna Graf, Rachel Campbell, and Jorgia Ferguson.

Lengerich was the conference champion in the 800 meters, high jump, long jump, and as a member of the 4x400 relay. She was joined on the relay team by Campbell, Ferguson, and Graf.

The 2021 EIAC Girls Track and Field Coach of the Year went to East Central’s Ashley Andres.

Batesville held off East Central 133.33 to 127 to win the conference championship in boys track and field. Both schools placed five on the all-conference team.

Nathan Griffin, Luke Hornbach, Griffin Werner, Erik Perkins, and Leo Maxwell were named all-conference for the Trojans.

Franklin County’s Jacob Schatzle was named the EIAC MVP.

Schatzle was the EIAC champ in the 100 meters, 4x100 relay, pole vault, and long jump.

The EIAC Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year went to Batesville’s Lisa Gausman.

BOYS

Batesville – James Kuisel, Daren Smith, Ean Loichinger, Ben Moster, William Hunter.

East Central - Nathan Griffin, Luke Hornbach, Griffin Werner, Erik Perkins, and Leo Maxwell

Franklin County – Jacob Schatzle (MVP), Hunter Tschaenn, Tyreke Carr, Drew Grant

Connersville – Parker Sweet

 

GIRLS

East Central – Ellie Lengerich (MVP), Hope Fox, Anna Graf, Rachel Campbell, and Jorgia Ferguson

Batesville – Kaylie Raver, Ava Hanson, Katie Olsen, Megan Allgeier, Lily Pinckley
