(Greendale, Ind.) – It was a rescue of a different kind for Greendale first responders last week.

Members of the Greendale Fire Department, Greendale Police Department, and City Manager Steve Lampert responded to Schnebelt's Pond where a wild bird was stuck in a tree.

According to the Greendale Police Department, the bird got stuck in some fishing line at the top of a tree.

A kayak and tree pruning tools were among the items used in the rescue.
