Wheelock Lake Campground Plans Big Celebration For 4th Of July Weekend

The event is open to the public and proceeds will benefit a worthy cause.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) – The Fourth of July will be celebrated a day early at Wheelock Lake Campground.

Community members are invited to celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 3.

Come for lunch, stay for the cornhole tournament, DJ, dinner, and fireworks.

Wang’s Hot Chicken will be served for lunch (12-2 PM) and dinner (5-7 PM).

The cornhole tournament begins at 2:30 p.m. Cost is $15 per person with teams being drawn at random. The winning team will receive half the entry fees. The other half will be donated.

A DJ will be on-hand from 5-10 p.m. and fireworks begin at dusk.

Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southeastern Indiana.

Eagle Country 99.3 will broadcast live from 11-2. Attendees are encouraged to register for the Summer of Free Concerts. The final qualifier(s) and the grand prize will be announced on site.
