(Batesville, Ind.) – Area residents are being asked to “lace up and walk” to cure Cystic Fibrosis.
The Great Strides 5K Walk takes place on Sunday, May 20 at Liberty Park in Batesville. Check-in starts at 12:00 p.m.
For 30 years, Great Strides has supported the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission to cure the rare, genetic disease that makes it difficult to breathe and shortens lives.
The Great Strides Walk encourages collaboration, team building and leadership, as participants collectively help raise funds for research.
To date, over $23,000 has already been raised by teams registered for the walk. The fundraising goal is $51,750.
Registration is free, but walkers are encouraged to raise funds on their own. All proceeds will go towards Cystic Fibrosis research and drug development, as well as advance care and advocacy.
