Volunteers Plant Trees at Lawrenceburg Schools Campus

A grant from Indiana University supported the tree planting event.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Volunteers converged to the Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation campus on Friday morning to plant trees. 

The event, hosted by the City of Greendale, included food, refreshments, hands-on learning about tree planting, and giveaways. 

OKI, Dearborn County Planning & Zoning, Indiana University, Davey Resource Group, the Greendale Parks Department, the Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation, and volunteers helped with the community tree-planting effort. 

Thanks to a grant from Indiana University, volunteers helped plant 25 native hardwood trees across the Lawrenceburg Schools campus.
