UPDATE: Death Investigation in Dearborn Co., Person of Interest in Custody

Person of interest is in custody, according to the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office.

 

Update published Thursday, August 14 at 9:52 AM: 

The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office is currently conducting a death investigation that occurred in southern Dearborn County early this morning. 

Law enforcement are actively searching for a person of interest in the area of Hueseman Road and Laughery Creek.  The person of interest may be armed so we ask that residents in the area to lock their doors and report anything suspicious. 

The investigation is still ongoing and we are unable to provide anymore details at this time.   An update is expected at 1:00 p.m. today.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) - A large police presence was reported in the area of Hueseman Ford in the Dillsboro area around 6:30 a.m.

According to Dearborn County Dispatch, a male suspect fled on foot. 

Please report any suspicious activity to police and do not approach.
