Update published at 9:40 a.m.: All lanes of I-275 NB and I-74 EB are now open and moving freely. A secondary accident happened after the initial accident on I-275 NB past the I-74 split, closing the interstates and lengthening the backup well into Harrison. Many motorists advised they were ditching the traffic jam and using side roads to make their way to work or school. Original story published at 7:53 a.m.: (Hamilton County, Oh.) - A crash on Interstate 275 northbound near Ronald Raegan Highway in Hamilton County is causing a long backup in the middle of the Thursday morning commute. An accident happened at around 6:00 a.m. on I-275 past the I-74 split in western Hamilton County. The Ohio Department of Transportation said the highway was closed so that crews could clear debris from the highway.
