Two Injured When Vehicles Collided On SR 46

Injuries were sustained during the accident.

(Franklin County, Ind) - The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident which occurred on State Road 46 on Friday, May 17.

Throughout the investigation, deputies found that Oneda F. Anderson, 84, of Waldron, Indiana was driving a westbound on S.R. 46 when she struck the rear of the car in front of her.

Anderson told deputies that she did not see that the vehicle driven by Carolyn A. Dieckmann, 67, of Batesville,was slowing down to make a left turn.

Upon colliding, Anderson’s vehicle went off the north side of the roadway. It hit a mailbox before rolling over and coming to a rest on its passenger side.

Dieckmann’s vehicle off the south side of the roadway before coming to a stop in a yard.

Both drivers were taken by Batesville E.M.S. to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
