(Batesville, Ind.) – Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon in Batesville.
Batesville Police responded to the crash at the intersection of State Road 46 and Tekulve Road around 3:45 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, Charles Peters, of Laurel, was westbound on State Road 46 when a sport utility vehicle driven by Benjamin Thomasson, of Batesville, turned left in front of his motorcycle.
The action resulted in a collision between the two. The impact caused Thomasson’s vehicle to collide with another sport utility vehicle driven by Marianne Lambert that was stopped at the traffic light in the southbound land of Tekulve Road.
Batesville Police say Peters appeared to be in critical condition at the scene. He and Thomasson were transported to Margaret Mary Health for evaluation. Peters was then flown to UC Medical Center for further treatment.
