Firefighters kept the fire contained to a single bedroom.

(Aurora, Ind.) A home fire broke out starting at approximately 12:56 p.m. in the 100 block of Sherman Street,
Two dogs were trapped inside the house.
One dog ran outside upon arrival of firefighters. The other was found unresponsive before he was resuscitated and taken by Red Cross to be cared for.
Fire damage was contained to a bedroom, but smoke damage was severe throughout the house.
Assisting the Aurora Fire Department was Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Rising Sun, and Dillsboro Fire Departments. Aurora Life squad was also on the scene and Manchester Fire Department was on standby.
