By Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, news release

Contractor will perform several rolling roadblocks during overnight hours.

(Petersburg, Ky.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming traffic switch on Interstate 275 eastbound near the Carroll Cropper Bridge on Friday, December 19.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 19, motorists should expect a series of rolling roadblocks on I-275 eastbound beginning at the U.S. 50 exit (Lawrenceburg/Aurora).

Traffic will be temporarily slowed in several locations to allow crews to move barrier wall ahead of the traffic switch. This traffic switch is expected to be completed shortly after midnight on Saturday, December 20.

Once completed, motorists will utilize the left lane prior to the bridge approach. Once at the bridge approach, traffic will shift to the right lane and then will shift back over to the left lane for the entirety of the bridge span.

This traffic switch is necessary for our crews to continue working on the floor beam repairs. Eastbound traffic will be in this configuration through Monday, December 22. At that time, an additional traffic switch will take place. KYTC will provide further updates on this traffic switch prior to it taking place.
