(Kenton County, Ky.) - A multi-vehicle crash closed a portion of Dixie Highway in Kenton County on Thursday evening.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) reported a closure of Dixie Highway around 7:44 p.m.

According to the KYTC, multiple vehicles were involved in the crash near the Interstate 275 eastbound off-ramp and Winding Way. The crash was cleared around 11:35 PM.

Due to the crash, repairs will be necessary to the utility poles and traffic cabinets at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Winding Way. These repairs are expected to take place the morning of Friday, October 23.

Northbound lanes of Dixie Highway have reopened following the crash. During the repairs at the intersection, the right two southbound lanes will be blocked. The left two southbound lanes to the left of the delineators (into the Crestview Hills Town Center) are expected to remain open with the right of those two lanes shifting traffic to southbound Dixie Highway.

KYTC will be working with utility crews and will provide an update once all lanes reopen.
