Traffic Collision Results in Serious Injuries for Pedestrian

Overall, two people were injured in the accident on Tuesday evening in Florence.

(Florence, Ky.) – A pedestrian is in critical condition following an accident in northern Kentucky.

Florence Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Banklick Street on Tuesday around 5:45 p.m.

According to a news release, the impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to spin out of control and go up on the sidewalk, striking a pedestrian who was waiting at the crosswalk.

The pedestrian, who remains unidentified, was transported to UC Medical Center.

A passenger in one of the vehicles involved was taken to St. Elizabeth Florence with possible injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
