(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A new, nationally-recognized store has opened its doors in Lawrenceburg. Tractor Supply Company opened its location in the former Kroger space at the Dearborn Plaza on U.S. 50 with an unannounced soft opening on Saturday, November 5, says store manager Jerry Hertsenberg. The store is 22,000 square feet inside with additional space for merchandise outside. The national farming and agriculture supply chain will celebrate a ribbon cutting for its newest store with the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce on Friday, November 11 at noon. A grand opening event is planned for Saturday, November 12 starting at 8:00 a.m. P.A.W.S. of Dearborn County will have their mobile pet adoption program there. Customers can also check out welding demonstrations. The Dearborn Plaza has been undergoing renovations by a Tennessee-based developer who purchased the retail center in February. The City of Lawrenceburg and Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission approved an $840,000 grant for upgrades to the shopping center in January. No tenant has been announced yet for the remaining available section of the former Kroger store. Tractor Supply Company has other area locations in Harrison and Florence.
