By Mike Perleberg (Undated) - What’s old is new again. At least in terms of baby names. Indiana’s most popular baby names in 2014, according to new data released by the Social Security Administration Thursday, are names that your grandparents may have been given decades ago. In Indiana, Emma, Olivia, and Ava were the top names for girls. For boys, the top names were Liam, Noah, and Elijah. In Ohio, the top girls names were the same as Indiana, but Mason joined Liam and Noah among the top boys names. Kentucky parents last year also most commonly chose the same girls names, but the top boys names there were William, Elijah, and James. You can find the top 100 baby names for each state in years 2014 back to 1960 in this online database on the Social Security Administration website.
