Teresa Todd Sentenced for Operating Crack Cocaine Distribution Business

(Lawrenceburg, IN) - Teresa R. Todd, age 64 has been sentenced to 12 years after pleading guilty to Dealing in Cocaine, a Level 4 Felony. Ten years of the sentence will be served in the Indiana Department of Correction, followed by two years of supervised probation.

Judge F. Aaron Negangard entered the sentence on September 1, 2026. The executed 10-year term was the maximum permitted under Todd’s negotiated plea agreement.

According to the Court’s sentencing order, Todd operated a sustained, street-level crack cocaine distribution business from her residence at the Quality Inn. The evidence established that Todd supplied crack cocaine to as many as 20 individuals per day and made regular, near-daily trips to Cincinnati to obtain larger quantities of cocaine, which she divided into smaller amounts for resale.

The Court found that this was not an isolated or opportunistic offense, but an ongoing commercial drug-trafficking operation conducted over a period of weeks or longer.

The Court also found it particularly aggravating that Todd conducted the drug-trafficking operation jointly with her adult daughter, Autumn Todd. According to the sentencing order, the two shared lodging and participated in a course of drug distribution from the Quality Inn, with Todd’s daughter sometimes distributing drugs in her place.

Todd had previously received numerous periods of incarceration, probation, community supervision, and substance-abuse treatment. The Court found that she repeatedly returned to drug use and drug trafficking following those interventions.

“This was a sustained drug-trafficking operation that supplied crack cocaine to numerous people on a daily basis,” Prosecutor Lynn Deddens said. “Todd’s extensive criminal history, the scale of her dealing operation, and her repeated failures under supervision warranted a substantial executed sentence.”

Todd received credit for 459 actual days served which is 153 days of good-time credit. Upon her release from incarceration, she will serve two years of supervised probation through the Dearborn-Ohio Counties Probation Department.
