Tastes of Summer Returns June 14

Lawrenceburg, IN - The annual “Tastes of Summer” event returns to Lawrenceburg on Saturday, June 14 at Civic Park.

The annual Lauren’s Burg Hill 5K Run/Walk and 5-Mile Run begins at 7:22. Race Day registration will start at 6:00 a.m. Pre-registration is available at https://runsignup.com/Race/IN/Lawrenceburg/LaurensburgHILL

Visitors can enjoy the Tastes of Summer Food Truck Rally from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Twelve food trucks will be competing for the "People Choice Prize." Winners will be announced on the Civic Park Stage at 6:45 p.m.

Food Trucks Scheduled to be in Attendance: Maw Maw's Creole Kitchen, Holy Smokin Pork & More, Twisted Greek, Troublemakers Food Truck, Rollin’Roosters, MamaBear's Mac, Kona Ice, The German Corner, Little Trolley Donuts, Mingles, Pakalana's Poke Wagon, and The House of Brisket.

Other planned events include free kids’ activities, free carnival rides, farmers market, beer garden, and tons of live musical performances.

The musical lineup is as follows:

  • Ethan Hopper – noon to 12:40
  • DJ Adkins - 12:45 to 1:20
  • 4 Identical Strangers - 1:30 to 3:00 
  • Union22 - 3:30 to 5:00
  • Mudbugs - 5:00 to 6:30
  • Crown Watts - 7:00 to 8:30
  • Blue Morning-a Foreigner Tribute band - 9:00 to 10:30

The following roads & parking lot will be closed:

  • E. High St. between Walnut St. to the alley between Short St. & Elm St.
  • Short St. between New St. to William St.
  • Mural parking lot on High St. next to Strong’s Pizza.

Directions to Ivy Tech parking garage entrances:

  • High St. to Walnut St.
  • US 50 to Walnut St.
  • US 50 to Walnut St., left on Center St. right on Elm St.
  • US 50 to Arch St., right at Center St. left on Elm St.
  • US 50 to Hollywood Blvd. which turns into Center St. left on Elm St.
