(Ripley County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation officials met with contractor representatives Friday, January 11 at Seymour District offices to discuss plans for removing and replacing a large culvert installation under State Road 129 northwest of Milan in Ripley County.
Paul H. Rohe Company of Aurora, the state’s contractor for this $116,380 project, plans to begin work at the S.R. 129 culvert site—located 0.8 miles north of S.R. 350, south of East C.R. 600 North—after April 1. Flaggers will direct motorists through the construction area while crews set a 4-foot diameter high-density polyethylene pipe measuring 106 feet in length in concrete. Operations include replacing 26 feet of full-depth asphalt pavement.
S.R. 129 has a traffic count of 5,370 vehicles per day.
