Sports Betting Numbers Rise In October

Sports betters were busy in the Hoosier state last month.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indiana saw a significant increase in sports bets in October.

According to the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC), nearly $92 million worth of bets were placed throughout the entire state last month, up from $35 million wagered in September.

As result, Indiana casinos brought in approximately $11.5 million in revenue, up from $8.5 million in September.

Locally, Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg handled $6,925,496 in sports bets, totaling $1,107,068 in revenue.

At Belterra Casino and Resort in Switzerland County, $812,130 in sports bets were placed in October. Their total revenue was $154,112.

Rising Star Casino will have to wait until next month to see how their sportsbook is doing. The casino in Rising Sun just opened its sportsbook last week.
