(Aurora, Ind.) - There was a lot of South Ripley Raider green in the crowd at the Aurora Farmers Fair King and Queen contest on Wednesday night.
It was a cheerful night for South Ripley as Brady Begley and Gia Nordhoff were named the King and Queen of the fair.
Begley is just the second South Ripley student to be crowned King at the Aurora Farmers Fair since the contest started in 1966. Landon Saylor held the crown in 2024.
Nordhoff becomes the sixth Farmers Fair Queen from South Ripley, and the first since Erin Yocum won the contest in 2000.
Begley and Nordhoff each received a $1,000 scholarship from Ivy Tech Community College.
This is the second year in a row a school has swept the King and Queen Contest. Austin Johns and Lainie McAlister (Switzerland County) were the King and Queen in 2025.
