South Dearborn School Board Appoints Brandon Messmore to Fill Vacant Seat

(Aurora, Ind.) - The South Dearborn Community School Corporation Board of Trustees has appointed Brandon Messmore to fill the board seat vacated by Amber Probst.

Messmore, originally from Bright, is a graduate of East Central High School and holds a degree in Business Communications from Northern Kentucky University. He has built his career in the automotive industry, serving in both sales and management roles, and currently works as an Auto Finance Manager for the Mark Williams Group.

Since moving to Aurora in 2011, Messmore has been a proud and active supporter of South Dearborn schools. He and his wife, Julie—a South Dearborn graduate—are raising four daughters: Gracie, Maddie, Vivian, and Lyla. Gracie is a recent South Dearborn graduate, while Maddie, Vivian, and Lyla attend South Dearborn and Dillsboro Elementary School.

“I am honored to join the South Dearborn School Board and serve the district that means so much to my family,” Messmore said. “I have a deep passion and enthusiasm for South Dearborn—not just because my children attend here, but because I believe in the mission, the people, and the opportunities our schools provide. My goal is to help ensure every student has an enjoyable, fulfilling school experience that builds a strong foundation for lifelong success. South Dearborn offers so much to our kids, and I am committed to maintaining and growing those opportunities.”

Messmore will serve the remainder of Probst’s term, bringing his dedication, energy, and community pride to the Board as it works to support student achievement, enhance educational programs, and strengthen the partnership between the schools and the community.
