South Dearborn Grad Competes AIT Training in South Carolina

Congrats Jason Hail.

Jason Hail.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Jason Hail has finished his Advanced Individual Training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

The 2022 South Dearborn High School graduate joined the Army National Guard out of high school and graduated from the US Army Training Center in Fort Sill, Oklahoma in August of 2024.

He recently spent eight weeks completing Finance Management Training, learning about military pay operations, disbursing operations and commercial vendor services.

Hail also completed key training in the field since every soldier is an infantryman first. He officially graduated last Friday.

His platoon was presented with an opportunity to be part of a funeral detail for the state of South Carolina, which was the first time an AIT class was part of a funeral detail in over 15 years.

The funeral was for an MIA World War II soldier missing for 80 years who was found and brought hoe to be given a proper burial.
