Single-lane Closures Planned on State Road 46 in Batesville

The project is expected to run into late July.

(Batesville, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O'Mara Contractors, Inc. is scheduled to begin a pavement patching project on State Road 46 in Batesville on or after Monday, June 8.

Work will take place on S.R. 46 between Huntersville Road in Batesville and Merkel Road (C.R. 450 E) near Morris and is expected to be complete in late July, weather permitting. During the project, single lane closures will be used under flagging operations.

This project is part of a $2.1 million contract awarded to Dave O'Mara in December 2025.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
