Severe Weather, Heavy Rain Expected This Weekend; Flash Flood Watch Issued

(Wilmington, Oh.) – The weekend weather outlook is not looking great.

Severe weather will be possible late this afternoon into tonight with damaging wind the primary threat, according to the National Weather Service.

Some storms may produce large hail.

Strong to severe storms will be possible again on Saturday afternoon and evening.

A Flash Flood Watch goes into effect at 6:00 p.m. Friday until Saturday at noon for the following counties:

  • Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley (Indiana)
  • Boone, Kenton (Kentucky)
  • Hamilton (Ohio)

The National Weather Service says two to four inches of rain will be possible.

Residents in the watch area should avoid low-lying areas and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
