Five local students served as Senate Pages in January and February.

INDIANAPOLIS - State Sen. Randy Maxwell (R-Guilford) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January and February.
- Anna Cornelius, from Lawrenceburg, attends St. Luke Catholic School and is pictured with State Sen. Deery (R-West Lafayette)
- Lucy Dull, from Moores Hill, is a homeschooled student
- Nathan Mahoney, from Guilford, attends East Central High School and is pictured with State Sen. Deery (R-West Lafayette)
- Lucas Preston, from Lawrenceburg, attends Lawrenceburg High School
- Ella Stigdon, from Austin, attends Austin Middle School
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
"I always appreciate meeting with students from our local community," Maxwell said. "I encourage any student interested in their state government to sign up for our Senate page program and see how the legislative process works firsthand."
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
