(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Visitors to five counties in Southeast Indiana can now discover local coffee shops through a special Southeast Indiana Coffee Trail launching May 1.

A partnership between five Convention & Visitors Bureaus located in the Southeast corner of the state, the self-guided coffee trail will showcase the many locally-owned and unique cafés found throughout the region.

After picking up a coffee trail rack card at one of the following Visitors Centers or at one of ten participating coffee shops, coffee lovers can have their card checked off at each location. Upon completion of the trail, the first 100 participants will receive an insulated travel mug and coffee shop discount coupons, while all finishers will receive a coffee trail sticker.

“We have some great coffee shops here in Southeast Indiana, and they’re always popular with visitors,” said Debbie Smith, Executive Director of Dearborn County Convention, Visitor & Tourism, which is participating in the promotion. “This is a fun way to showcase all of these great spaces in our historic downtowns and communities, plus sample the many different coffee types and specialty drinks found at each shop.”

The Southeast Indiana Coffee Trail will run through the end of 2023. Visitors can pick up their coffee trail passports at the Dearborn County Visitor Center in Lawrenceburg, the Decatur County Visitor Center in Greensburg, the Franklin County Visitor Center in Brookville, the Ripley County Tourism Bureau in Versailles, and Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism in Rising Sun.
