Secretary of State Reinforces Voter Integrity with New ‘Vote Here’ Signs

The signs will be placed at polling locations across the state.

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales announces the placement of new ‘Vote Here’ signage at polling locations across the state, underscoring key voter requirements to maintain the integrity of Indiana’s elections. The signs will clearly state that only U.S. citizens are eligible to vote in Indiana elections and that a valid photo ID is required for all voters.

The move is part of Secretary Morales’ ongoing commitment to ensure the integrity and transparency of Indiana’s elections. The new signs displayed in both English and Spanish, aim to provide clear guidance and uphold state laws protecting the sanctity of the vote.

In an effort to ensure that these messages are accessible to all voters, the signs are printed in both English and Spanish. This initiative aims to increase voter awareness and compliance with state voting laws, ensuring that everyone has a clear understanding of the eligibility requirements. County clerks have been notified of the new signage.  This initiative is just one of several from the Morales administration aimed increasing voter confidence and ensuring only eligible voters are voting in our elections.

“Protecting the integrity of our elections is paramount. These signs are a simple, straightforward reminder of the laws that keep our elections safe and secure.  Our election process is the strongest when we uphold the law, and these reminders help to ensure that only eligible citizens participate in our elections,” said Diego Morales, Indiana Secretary of State.

The Indiana Secretary of State’s office is committed to transparency and upholding the law. With the 2024 elections approaching, these efforts reinforce the state’s longstanding commitment to election integrity, while also promoting accessibility by communicating essential information to voters in both English and Spanish languages.
