Santa Arrives Friday For Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony In Rising Sun

By sleigh or seaplane, Santa will be in Rising Sun on Friday.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – Santa Claus is coming to town and he is arriving by seaplane. 

Rising Sun Main Street will host their annual tree lighting ceremony under the pavilion on Main Street on Friday, November 30 at approximately 5:10 p.m., weather permitting.

Santa will arrive at Rising Sun Riverfront Park by Mac’s Seaplane Service at 5:00. The public is invited to walk with him to the pavilion where he’ll light the Christmas tree. The Rising Sun High School band and choir will also perform.

After the tree lighting, Santa will be available for free photos at the Pendleton Art Center. Youths can also decorate free sugar cookies while supplies last.

The event is free and open to the public.
