The volunteer fire department received their new rescue tools last night.

(Milan, Ind.) - Last night, Milan Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) was able to received some new equipment to better serve their community.
With a $20,000 donation from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation, hard work of the firefighters to hold fundraisers, and community support, the volunteer fire department was able to reach their purchase price of $26,000 to buy new and updated Genesis Eforce tools and equipment.
New tools include the Genesis Eforce 2.0 battery powered spreaders, cutters, and ram. These tools are updated for the newer vehicles that contain the boron steel.
"Special thanks to the Rising Sun Regional Foundation for giving us the opportunity to be able to purchase this new updated equipment. I would also like to give a shout out to Tim Grant with Howell Rescue Systems. Thanks for helping us achieve our goal of acquiring our new rescues tools," says Milan Volunteer Fire Department.
