Ripley To Lift Travel Advisory; Franklin Upgrades

(Versailles, Ind.) - Ripley County is still under a Yellow, or Level 1, Travel Advisory Thursday, but not much longer.

The sheriff’s office says the county-wide travel advisory will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

In Batesville, officials have lowered the travel emergency level from Orange (Watch) to Yellow (Advisory). All travel emergencies in the city will expire at 6:00 p.m., too.

Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills says some county roads still remain in unfavorable conditions, so please use caution while traveling.

Franklin County received the brunt of Wednesday's storm. Authorities said Thursday road conditions have improved enough to upgrade the travel emergency level from Orange to Yellow.
