Ripley County's Relay for Life is heading north.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Relay for Life is coming back to Batesville.
After a few years of hosting the annual day-long fundraiser at Jac-Cen-Del High School in Osgood, the Relay committee has asked the Batesville Parks and Recreation Board to allow it to take place at Liberty Park, according to The Batesville Herald-Tribune.
“JCD's a great space, but the track is secluded and it's been sort of a stale event lately,” said Relay organizer Meagan Cook.
Prior to moving to JCD, the relay was held at Batesville High School's track.
The park board approved the request on August 15. A fee for using the park facilities was not waived.
The next Ripley County Relay for Life is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2019.
In July, Lawrenceburg city officials granted the Dearborn-Ohio County Relay For Life permission to hold their 2019 event at Todd-Creech Park in Lawrenceburg. The Relay has previously been hosted at South Dearborn High School.
