(Ripley County, Ind.) – Prosecuting Attorney Ric Hertel will release finding of an officer involved shooting on Friday.

Hertel is scheduled to speak at a press conference at the Courthouse Annex in Versailles at 10:30 a.m.

He will release findings from an officer involved shooting that took place on October 10, 2021.

During the incident, officers from Indiana State Police and the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department shot and killed Joshua Ebinger, 37, at a Sunman residence.

According to Hertel, the Indiana State Police trooper was equipped with a body-worn camera, and the footage of the shooting was captured.
