The vest was donated by Protecting K9 Heroes

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Sheriff's Office is extending thanks for a generous donation to K9 Dex.
Protecting K9 Heroes recently donated a Level IIIA ballistic vest to K9 Dex, providing him with enhanced protection while serving alongside deputies in the line of duty.
"We are incredibly grateful for organizations like Protecting K9 Heroes that recognize the important role our K9 partners play in keeping our communities safe. Their generosity helps ensure K9 Dex has the protection he deserves while serving and protecting Ripley County," reads a statement from the Ripley County Sheriff's Office.
Protecting K9 Heroes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on providing ballistic patrol vests, emergency Narcan, and life-saving medical trauma kits to working K9s across the United States and globally. Their goal is to reduce line-of-duty deaths to zero by ensuring K9s have the protective gear necessary to safely perform their duties.
