(Greendale, Ind.) - A northern Kentucky hospital group is preparing to add a southeast Indiana location to its roster. The Cincinnati Business Courier reported Tuesday that St. Elizabeth Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Physicians plans to build a multi-million dollar medical office building in Dearborn County. The new facility will be located in Greendale along U.S. 50 between LaRosa's and the ramp to Interstate 275. Construction on the 75,000 square foot medical building is expected to begin at the 13-acre site in early 2015 with completion called for in early 2016, according to the report. St. Elizabeth has had a physical presence in Dearborn County for five years with doctor offices in Hidden Valley, Dillsboro and Aurora, but this week's revelation signals a larger commitment in the Hoosier state. "St. Elizabeth Physicians is excited about this opportunity to enhance the services provided to our patients living and working in Southeastern Indiana and Southwestern Ohio," Jacob Bast, chief operating officer of the physician group, told The Cincinnati Business Courier. "The expanded services and additional access to primary care will further support our commitment to connected and coordinated care." The report stated that St. E is still planning which services will be offered at its soon-to-be Dearborn County location, but multiple specialties will be offered. "St. Elizabeth is committed to connecting patients to their primary care provider and coordinating care with other specialists and health care services," said Dr. Glenn Loomis, CEO of St. Elizabeth Physicians. "This facility will support our Indiana-based physicians in delivering the highest level of quality and service to their patients."
