(Holton, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation is honored to announce that it is now accepting grant applications for the Holton Warhorses Legacy Fund. All nonprofit organizations which serve the Town of Holton are invited to apply for up to $500 in grant funding to support a charitable program or project which will benefit the residents of the Town of Holton.

In the wake of the devastating 2012 tornado that struck the town of Holton, claiming lives and causing widespread destruction, the community foundation stepped up to collect donations and aid recovery efforts. Upon the completion of all recovery efforts, the Holton Long-term recovery Committee established the Holton Warhorse Legacy Fund to provide residents with a perpetual source of charitable dollars which could be used to help their community thrive. Grants from this fund can be used to support a variety of important initiatives, such as education, healthcare, and the arts.

The Holton Warhorses Legacy Fund will accept applications between July 1st and July 31st. And are available via the Ripley County Community Foundation’s website at https://rccfonline.org/grants/.

The Ripley County Community Foundation offers various endowment funds including those designated for specific charitable causes.
